Each belt includes the Hardbody Lever – Patented Mechanism, a forged aluminium locking system engineered for a smoother, stronger, and more secure bracing experience. Forging compresses the aluminium for increased density and rigidity, resulting in a lightweight yet durable mechanism with excellent impact resistance.

The patented design uses a metal-on-metal clasp for a solid locking feel, supported by a two-stage engagement system that improves setup stability, reduces misalignment, and provides a consistent closing action under load.

How the Lever Mechanism Works

Pre-Latch Stage – Engage the top plate into the receiver. A centrally positioned ball-spring detent applies light retention, keeping the mechanism aligned while you position the belt and making tightening easier without adding early tension.

Final Lock Stage – Rotate the lever past the over-centre point. This creates strong, even belt tension and a secure lock for bracing. The forged aluminium build and metal-on-metal interface provide a stable, consistent closing feel under load.

To Release – Lift the lever to remove tension, then unhook the plate from the receiver.

Assembling Your Lever Belt

Remove the belt and lever from the packaging

Slide the screws through the holes on the lever backplate

Secure the screws using a Phillips head screwdriver

Position the lever on your Hardbody 13mm Lever Belt and adjust before tightening

Measure around your core just above the belly button, not your waist size. Select the belt size that matches your core measurement

Close the lever firmly and confirm the mechanism is fully secure
